Charlotte, DeSoto and Sarasota Counties, Florida — As the prime consultant for this project, AIM was responsible for the management, preliminary engineering analyses and documentation of the $1.7M budget, 24-month schedule, eight multi-discipline subconsultants, and the Project Quality Control Program. The limits of the project were from North of Kings Highway in Charlotte County to River Road in Sarasota County, a distance of 21 miles. The objective of the study was to evaluate the mainline widening of I-75 from the existing four lanes to an interim six lanes and ultimate eight lanes. Significant features within the project limits include four interchanges, the Myakka River, and several utilities and canal crossings. AIM was responsible for the project management as well as various engineering, environmental and public involvement services.
