Construction Engineering & Inspection

A crane installs a CCTV Pole on I-75 AIM has built an excellent reputation in the construction industry for our foresight and proactive efforts in identifying, communicating, investigating and resolving issues during the early stages of a project. We are committed to working relentlessly with our clients to address all the requirements of the RFP, the concessionaire agreements and contract documents to ensure a successful project. Early detection and resolution as well as documentation are the keys to avoiding and minimizing Non-Conformance Points.

Constructability & Design Reviews

AIM Employees review a set of plans Our staff has served on many on-call and General Engineering Consultant (GEC) contracts, having reviewed many sets of design plans to provide constructability and value engineering studies. Our technical staff receives required training and is knowledgeable of the latest engineering standards/criteria. Our efforts have resulted in reductions of both construction costs and construction times on numerous types of projects in the public sector.

Quality Control

Employees perform Quality Control on a set of plans Our Quality Control (QC) Team is experienced and well versed in the FDOT system and is familiar with the procedure for reduced frequency for sampling and testing. We understand the resolution process for a failing sample and have affiliated FDOT qualified laboratories which are available to assist with the efficient lab testing and timely input of results into the FDOT Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The AIM staff has extensive experience assisting clients in the pre-planning stages of all aspects of the construction including pre-pour inspection to ensure an efficient production system and preventing delay to the contractors operations and project schedule.

Public Information

Employees perform Quality Control on a set of plans AIM has qualified staff to provide professional Public Information Officer (PIO) services for construction projects. In the PIO role, our staff can handle all project-related inquiries from the general public, businesses and the media. Specific services for any project may include the preparation and distribution of a weekly RoadWatch Update; development of and maintenance of targeted e-mail distribution lists; writing and disseminating press releases on lane closures, project milestones, emergencies, holiday schedules, etc.; conducting interviews with representatives of the print and electronic media; responding to phone calls and e-mails; maintaining a daily log of contacts; holding face-to-face meetings with residents and business owners/operators to answer their questions and provide project updates; and setting up and participating in special presentations for the general community, civic groups and business organizations. We are fully trained in the use of many of our client’s specific software requirements for public information, including the FDOT Tracker system for inquiries and complaints.
